Event: London to Brighton Mini Run 2015

If you don't follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you could be forgiven for missing the fact that for the past 5 years, my Dad has been restoring a classic Mini Park Lane for me. He is pictured above and after lots of blood, sweat and tears, Sir Eglamore (named after the Kate Rusby song) is road ready, making him one of only about 36 registered Park Lanes on the road! We registered him in the annual London to Brighton Mini Run, partly to show him off, partly to see if he could cope with the journey and partly just for a family day of fun. Spoiler alert: he behaved perfectly well and the ride went without a hitch. I thought I'd share some snaps I took on the day- it was mini madness.

I'm Wearing:
Tee: London to Brighton Mini Run 2015 owner's shirt
Jacket: Primark
Skirt: Vintage
Boots: Barratts
I wore a vintage skirt and petticoat, in order to fit with the throwback theme of the day, with most of the minis being classic Austins and promptly donned my 2015 mini run shirt to get into the spirit of the day. We enjoyed fish and chips on the pier, before strolling back through the stalls and throngs of minis, admiring the scene.

The whole day was a lot of fun, with everyone on the journey waving and beeping at each other celebration of the run. Lots of fabulous minis added colour to Brighton seafront and it really is a site to behold. See you next year, London to Brighton!
