1950s House Wife

Happy Fathers Day! I hope you are all treating the Fatherly figures in your life to a day of rest and relaxation? I bought my Dad a cap to go under his welding helmet (hes fixing me up a classic Mini so hes doing a lot of mechanical work at the moment). However, the website we got it from didn't allow you to chose a design for the hat as they do it on size. Unfortunately for my Dad, his size happened to go with a garish, floral design.... manly! He's happy with it though, so alls well.

My Grandparents are round for afternoon tea, however  it looks like I'm going to be stuck in my bedroom, revising, for the majority of the day. Darn you exams! At least they'll all be over by Wednesday. Think positive thoughts, Amy. Anyway, this is what I wore for the event (and revision):

White tee: Primark
Pink Pinstripe Shirt: H&M
Trousers: Topshop
Shoes: New Look
Ring: Independant boutique
Links Style Bracelet:  Gift
Nail Polish: Models Own- Lemon Meringue

What do you think of this outfit? I was going for the 50s housewife vibe here, by tying my shirt in a knot and scraping my hair back. I really love these trousers, also. They are a wardrobe staple for me as they are cool, comfortable but also a little bit edgy. Unfortunately, however, being from Topshop, I've seen a few people wearing them, which is always an issue with shopping in places like Topshop and New Look. So many people end up with the same outfits. Of course this isn't an issue until you turn up to College in the same bright green trousers as another person (yes, this has happened twice).

What do you think of this nail polish? Cute and pastel or does it just look like I have mouldy nails?! I can't decide!

Before I go, I just wanted to say 'thank you' for all the encouraging things you left on my last post. It means a lot and I wish I could give each one of you a big hug! *Opens arms*
