Review: Pink Parcel January 2016 Box

This month I was lucky enough to be sent the monthly subscription box 'Pink Parcel,' which is a subscription box with a difference- it's based around your period. I'll bet any rogue men reading this post just went 'okay, nope' and left faster than a speeding ticket. Pink Parcel costs just £12.99 and arrives once a month with your choice of tampons or sanitary towels (or a mixture of both, depending on your personal preference). You can alter the date each box arrives to fit in with your menstrual cycle (I can't believe I just said 'menstrual cycle' on the internet) and you can choose the brand of tampons/pads you like. Along with tampons and pads to last your whole period, Pink Parcel provide you with goodies to brighten up your period and fulfill your cravings.
I received the sample January box which contained a mixture of tampons (Tampax Pearl) and sanitary towels (Always) along with Sass Refreshing Wipes to, er.... Keep me fresh... On the goodies front, January's box saw us receiving some sweets, mini notebooks, a lipstick, two skincare products, some loose leaf tea, a eyeshadow pigment and a sample packet of almond butter. I was overly excited by the tea (vanilla almond rooibos) which came in an adorable test tube, along with tea bags you could decant the loose leaf tea into.

The eyeshadow alone (which was full size) covered the cost of the box, making the contents a total steal- especially considering the ridiculous price of sanitary items these days (looking at you, tampon tax). Asides from being a bargain, the box is adorable and such a treat to open up. Personally, I think it would make a great way to cheer up young teens just starting their periods, in fact, Pink Parcel think so too and have created a 'Teen Pink Parcel Box' especially for them. It's also a great idea for anyone like me, who forgets when they are coming on their periods and are often caught unawares and unprepared!
In the box I received: Fab Little Bag, Kiss Cosmetics Lipstick in 'naked pink,' BellaPierre Shimmer Powder in 'Snowflake,' Vichy Normaderm Beautifying Anti-Blemish Care, Sass Refreshing Wipes, Pip & Nut Coconut Almond Butter, London Tea Club Vanilla & Almond Tea, Twenty First Century Herbs Skin Balm, 3 Mini Notebooks and Jealous Sweets.

To see the items up close and in action and also find out more about Pink Parcel, you can watch my unboxing video on my YouTube Channel.

Until next time,
Amy x
